Waste disposal

Vardø harbor receives waste in accordance with regulations. We handle waste from vessels and activities in the port area. Therefore, we encourage everyone using the harbor to dispose of their waste in a legal manner.

Vardø Havn KF provides residual waste containers at all ports intended for catering waste from vessels. We also provide waste oil containers for used oil. These services are included in the quay fee.

In addition, on request, we handle:

- Operational waste from vessels
- Flammable and hazardous waste
- Marine litter and waste from beach clean-up activities, etc.

Prices for these services are available in the port tariff regulations.

We also accept all ownerless waste that vessels retrieve in their fishing gear or find floating at sea.

Please contact us regarding delivery of waste that is not included in the quay fee.
